Gordon & MacPhail Discovery Series Tormore 13
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Gordon & MacPhail
ABV: 43%
Score: 90 Points
It’s not easy to find bottlings of Tormore, since most of the distillery’s output goes to the Chivas Brothers blends with the exception of a couple of limited-release single malts and independent bottlings like this 13-year-old Bourbon cask-matured release from Gordon & MacPhail. The nose has touches of coconut, freshly cut grass, and tropical hints of pineapple and grapefruit. The taste is light, tropical, and vibrant with touches of grapefruit, pineapple, lime zest, hints of spearmint and chocolate mint. The finish is long, tart, and minty. (March, 2020)
