One of the first whiskies to come out of Israel, with a complex recipe using both wheat and malted barley and matured for a year in a combination of new American Oak, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay wine casks. The nose is grainy and tart with a touch of maltiness, green apples, lemon zest, green grapes, and a hint of vanilla. The taste is tart with notes of lemon zest, cocoa, licorice, and a hint of honey. The finish is tart and citrusy. Interesting now, but future batches should improve with more time in the wood. (March, 2017)
