Glengoyne Legacy Series: Chapter One. Image courtesy Glengoyne. This single malt is matured in a combination of first-fill and refill European Oak Oloroso Sherry casks, and carries no age statement. The nose has notes of honey, figs, toffee, and a hint of butterscotch. The taste has a good balance of spices and fruitiness with allspice and a hint of cinnamon playing well with red apples, coconut, and toffee notes. The finish fades away gently with subtle spices and a hint of red apples. (November, 2019)
