Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 47.6%
Score: 90 Points
This 2010 bottling came after the roofs of several Glenfiddich warehouses were damaged by heavy snow during the winter of 2010. Malt Master Brian Kinsman took a batch of barrels from those damaged warehouses and created this expression to mark the occasion. The nose is dry with a touch of oak, muted spices, vanilla, and honey. The taste is fruity and vibrant with notes of orange marmalade, white pepper, cardamom, and hints of vanilla and honey in the background. The finish is long and fruity with hints of spice and smoke.
