GlenDronach 1978 Single Cask #1803
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt

This release from GlenDronach’s rare cask series was matured for 35 years in an ex-Sherry hogshead cask and bottled in early 2014, with only 351 bottles available.
The nose is full of figs, plums, toffee, baked orange peel, and has a subtle oakiness. The taste has notes of Christmas cake, plums, figs, hints of licorice and butterscotch, and touches of raisins and stewed prunes. The finish is long, smooth, and rich with Christmas cake, toffee, and a touch of prunes. (January, 2015)
