The oldest distillery bottling so far from Glencadam, the nose on this single malt has a nice note of lemon zest, along with tropical touches of mango, papaya, and lemon pepper spice while remaining creamy and malty in the distillery’s house style. Ginger root and subtle white pepper notes add balance in the background.

The taste starts off dry, then turns intensely spicy with notes of cinnamon, clove, and cardamom that seem to last and last – while not overpowering the buttery mouthfeel underneath with touches of ginger root, honey, brown sugar, and a slight hint of linseed oil leading into the finish. The finish is long with that touch of linseed oil, lingering spices, and citrusy notes of mango and lemon zest. Outstanding! (April, 2016)
