Glann ar Mor Kornog Sant Erwan 2012

Country: France

Region:

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 89 Points

Jean Donnay uses Kornog on his peated Single Malts from the Brittany Coast of France, and releases an annual edition in honor of Sant Erwan, the patron saint of Brittany. This malt is matured in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel, and the nose is smoky, peaty, and rich with honey, mild vanilla, and a hint of brininess. The taste is rich and smoky with tangy barbecue sauce, black pepper, and honey notes. The finish is long and smooth with a nice kiss of smoke and honey sweetness. Very nice!
