George T. Stagg 2012 Release
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 71.4%
Score: 93 Points
As intense a whiskey as you’ll ever find. The nose is warm and rich with a mild alcohol burn, slightly smoky with oak, allspice, black pepper, straw, and caramel notes. The taste is peppery, mouth-puckering and very spicy with an intense buildup of cinnamon and chili powder that lasts and lasts through the finish. The finish has those cinnamon and chili powder notes that fade slowly to reveal a touch of honey, caramel, and toasted oak.
