George Dickel Distillery Reserve
Country: USA
Region: Tennessee
Type: Tennessee Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43.5%
Score: 88 Points
This 17-year-old Tennessee whiskey is the oldest Dickel release ever, and is only available in Tennessee. The nose is aromatic with caramel and hot fudge ice cream topping, vanilla, oak, honey, muted spices, and a hint of pipe tobacco. The taste is oaky with notes of caramel cola, cinnamon, fudge, honey, and dark chocolate. The finish is oaky and long with notes of fudge and dark chocolate. Overall, perhaps a bit too oaky for some people. (July, 2016)
