George Dickel Bottled in Bond (Fall 2005)
Country: USA
Region: Tennessee
Type: Tennessee Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 91 Points
There’s nothing that says a Bottled in Bond whisky can’t be a lot older than the minimum four years, and that’s the case with this 13-year-old Tennessee Whisky. It was distilled in the fall of 2005, and the nose has notes of citrus fruits, honey, gentle spices, vanilla, and a hint of oak. The taste is thick and chewy with strong baking spices, oak tannins, vanilla, and hints of citrus that appear as the spices begin to fade. The finish is long and subtle with a hint of cherries underneath the lingering spices. (June, 2019)
