George Dickel Barrel Select. Image courtesy Diageo. This small-batch Tennessee Whiskey uses 10 casks between 10 and 12 years old, and the nose is delicate, soft, and mellow with dried flowers, fruity sweetness, and a hint of caramel. The taste has gentle spicy touches of black pepper and allspice that give way to sweeter notes of caramel candy, butterscotch, and dried flowers. The finish is long, smooth, and well-balanced between gently fading spices and a nice sweetness. (October, 2019)
