This whiskey was made from barley smoked on the Frey Ranch in Nevada using a homemade smoker and peat made from decomposed corn husks (along with traditional peat imported from Scotland). The nose is malty with a soft smokiness and touches of honey and vanilla. The taste has a campfire smokiness along with ginger, honey, and vanilla, while the finish is long and smoky with a lingering touch of ginger. (October, 2023)
