Four Roses 2019 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon. Image courtesy Four Roses. This year’s edition is blended from four whiskies between 11 and 21 years old using three different Four Roses recipes (2 OESV’s, an OESK, and an OBSV). The nose is well-rounded with notes of raspberry jam, baking chocolate, a nice oakiness, and touches of honey and vanilla. The taste has plenty of baking spices led by a bite of cinnamon, along with a nice peach cobbler touch that comes out as the spices fade along with a subtle oakiness, vanilla, and a hint of molasses. The finish is long and complex with a subtle oakiness balanced by hints of peaches, apricots, and caramel. Excellent! (December, 2019)
