This 2019 limited-edition release takes the same Canadian Whisky used in Forty Creek Barrel Select and finishes in in so-called “high vanilla” staves designed to impart an extra touch of vanillins during the last stage of maturation. The nose has notes of vanilla beans, butterscotch, honey, milk chocolate, and a hint of maple. The taste is full of vanilla, plums, baker’s chocolate, baking spices, and oak tannins. The finish is long and oaky with touches of baker’s chocolate and vanilla. (December, 2019)
