Five Lions Aberlour 8 Year Old. Photo ©2018, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media. This single cask Aberlour independent bottling comes from a first-fill Oloroso Sherry hogshead cask, and the nose has notes of maple syrup, toffee, caramel, vanilla, and touches of dried apricots and peaches. The taste is thick and chewy with oak tannins, toffee, caramel, and a hint of clove. The finish is long and oaky with touches of toffee and caramel. (December, 2018)
