Firestone & Robertson Texas Straight Bourbon. Image courtesy Firestone & Robertson Distilling. This straight Bourbon was distilled at Firestone & Robertson’s original distillery in Fort Worth, Texas. The nose is warm and spicy with notes of allspice, white pepper, a hint of ginger, brown sugar, caramel, peach pie, and a slight nuttiness. The taste has good fruity touches of peach pie and plums at first, followed by white pepper and allspice notes. Touches of caramel, brown sugar, and molasses underneath add balance and complexity. The finish is long with gently fading spices and an underlying fruitiness. (July, 2017)
