Filey Bay First Release
Country: England
Region: Yorkshire
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 91 Points
This is the debut release of Filey Bay from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, and is made from barley grown on the nearby farm of co-founder David Thompson. The nose is light and clean with a fruity, floral character and a touch of citrusy tartness. The taste starts off tart and citrusy, followed by spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, and allspice that come in and round out the flavor nicely. The finish is long and tart with lingering spices. A nice debut! (February, 2020)
