This is the second 2019 release of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, and this 12-year-old Bourbon has a nose full of tobacco leaves, charred oak, touches of ground pepper and allspice, caramel, and fudge. The taste is intensely peppery and spicy with black pepper, cinnamon, and allspice balanced by touches of dried fruits and tobacco. The finish is long, spicy, and slightly astringent with touches of dried fruits. (April, 2019)
