Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Blended Malt

Bottler: Elixir Distillers

ABV: 54.5%

Score: 92 Points

This Islay blended malt blends 78% Laphroaig with 22% Caol Ila, and the result is a whisky with a gentle smokiness on the nose along with touches of figs and dates. The taste is smoky, phenolic, and slightly medicinal with figs and dates at the forefront as the smokiness starts to build up, while honey, orange marmalade and citrus notes provide balance underneath. The finish is long with a gentle smokiness. (January, 2024)
