Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Blended Malt

Bottler: Elixir Distillers

ABV: 54.5%

Score: 92 Points

This was first bottled for the 2023 Feis Ile, and blended Caol Ila from 2013 and Laphroaig from 2010 with peated Bunnahabhain single malt from 2015 — all from Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is a whisky with figs and dates on the nose along with raisins, honey, and a hint of peat smoke. The taste is thick and oily with a nice fruity character balanced by heather, honey, orange marmalade, brine, and campfire smoke. The finish is long, peppery, and smoky. (January, 2024)
