ABV: 40%
Score: 80 Points
This is a 3-year-old Spanish blend produced at Beam Suntory’s Destilería DYC in Palazuelos de Eresma, and generally available primarily in Spain. The nose has notes of caramel, orange marmalade, honey, and a hint of malt. The taste starts off thin and light at first with honey, orange marmalade, and a hint of black tea. The spices come alive with time as notes of allspice, clove, and white pepper develop, then fade away to leave the lighter notes and a touch of oak. The finish has lingering spices, orange peel, honey, and a hint of licorice. (September, 2016)
