Duncan Taylor Rare Auld Cardhu 1984. Image courtesy Duncan Taylor & Co. This single cask Cardhu was filled in 1984 and matured for 26 years before being bottled. The nose is fruity and aromatic with notes of apple pie, cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, vanilla, and a hint of orange peel. The taste is thick and oily with cinnamon, white pepper, a touch of nutmeg, red apples, orange marmalade, and a hint of oak. The finish is long with lingering spices and a fruity tartness. Very nice.
