Double Barrel Glenrothes/Ardbeg

Country: Scotland

Region:

Type: Blended Malt

Bottler: Douglas Laing & Co.

ABV: 46%

Score: 91 Points

The Laing brothers took creamy Glenrothes and smoky Ardbeg casks and put them together to create something unique. The nose is dry and malty with just a touch of smoke, while the taste is syrupy-thick and spicy with cinnamon and black pepper notes that fade to reveal lemon and vanilla creme. The finish is slightly smoky and sweet like a good barbecue sauce. Complex and very nice!
