This is an 8-year-old blended Scotch whisky finished in Ilegal Mezcal casks that add a unique touch to the whisky. The nose has notes of agave, lemon, lime, honey, vanilla, and a hint of freshly-cut grass. The taste is tart and spicy with lemon and lime citrus notes balanced by white pepper, chili powder, and touches of honey and vanilla in the background. The finish is medium-length and tart with a lingering spiciness. (August, 2020)
