Dalwhinnie 22 Distilled 1957

Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Cadenhead's

ABV: 45.7%

Score: 94 Points

This classic was distilled in 1957, and remains vibrant more than 3 decades after bottling! The nose is spicy and aromatic with hazelnut, cinnamon, allspice, toasted oak, and a hint of smokiness. The taste is thick, mouth-coating, and spicy with a great cinnamon note that fades to reveal licorice and orange peel. The finish is lingering times 3 — with cinnamon, allspice, and touches of oak that seem to go on forever. An outstanding whisky!
