Daftmill 2006 Summer Batch Release (USA Edition)
Country: Scotland
Region: Lowlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 95 Points
Daftmill’s Francis Cuthbert selected 7 ex-Bourbon casks from the distillery’s 2006 production for this 12-year-old bottling that marks Daftmill’s debut in the USA. The nose is fruity and vibrant with peaches, honey, orange marmalade, and a touch of toasted coconut. The taste is fruity and tart with lemon pepper, orange marmalade, honey, and touches of almonds and coconut that combine to create a thick and luscious mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet with lingering touches of peaches, honey, lemon zest, and a slight hint of oak. Outstanding! (November, 2019)
