It takes guts to add apple flavoring to a 23-year-old whisky, but that’s what the folks at Crown Royal did with Golden Apple. The nose has touches of apple cider, honey, and vanilla. The taste has notes of apple cider, honey, and a touch of cinnamon that comes out toward the long finish for a touch of cinnamon apples. (January, 2024)
