Craigellachie 31. Image courtesy Dewar's/Bacardi.This vintage Speyside single malt has an elegant nose with tropical notes of pineapple and kiwi fruit along with a hint of campfire smoke, pipe tobacco, and a subtle touch of beef broth. The taste is fruity and tart with grilled pineapple, kiwi fruit, mango, lime zest, and a slight smokiness along with touches of pipe tobacco and old, wet leather in the background. The finish lingers gently with gradually fading citrus notes, a hint of allspice, and a gentle kiss of smoke. Outstanding! (July, 2017)
