This 2019 release from the Exceptional Cask Series comes from a second-fill ex-Sherry butt, and the nose has notes of tropical fruits, toasted coconut, and hints of spice. The taste builds on those hints with clove and cinnamon balanced by pineapple, honey, and vanilla with hints of mango and licorice in the background. The finish has lingering spices and touches of tropical fruits for a good overall balance and complexity. (December, 2019)
