This whiskey was distilled from Quinoa grain, and the nose is pungent and earthy with dark chocolate, caramel, and coffee notes. The taste is coffee-like at first, but a spicy hit of black pepper builds to a peak and fades to reveal a blend of licorice, caramel, and a slight nuttiness that lingers through the finish with a slight earthiness. A unique whiskey.
