Connoisseur’s Choice Royal Brackla 19 Years Old

Country: Scotland

Region: Highlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Gordon & MacPhail

ABV: 40%

Score: 88 Points

This vintage Highland single malt was distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1989. The nose is musty and earthy with touches of dried fruits and hints of citrus and sulphur – likely because the cask was treated with paxarette (back when it was legal). The taste is fruity with notes of mango, apricot, subtle spices, and a touch of maltiness. The finish is long with lingering spices and touches of dried fruits. (November, 2017)
