While the late bootlegger Clyde May made his moonshine in Alabama, the Bourbon that bears his name comes from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery. The nose is warm and inviting with notes of brown sugar, nutmeg, apricots, applesauce, and peach pie with graham cracker crust. The taste is sweet and fruity with fresh berries, allspice, and touches of cinnamon and oak. The finish is long with lingering spices, brown sugar, and a touch of oak. (January, 2017)
