Clyde May’s Straight Bourbon
Country: USA
Region:
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Conecuh Ridge Distillery
ABV: 46%
Score: 89 Points
The late Clyde May was an Alabama bootlegger, but the straight Bourbon that carries his name was made in Kentucky at an undisclosed distillery. The nose is warm and inviting with notes of brown sugar, nutmeg, apricots, applesauce, peach pie, and graham cracker pie crust. The taste is sweet and fruity with notes of fresh berries, allspice, and touches of cinnamon and oak. The finish is long with lingering spices and touches of oak and brown sugar. (January, 2017)
