Chicken Cock is another one of those venerable American whiskey brands that disappeared over the years only to be revived during the modern era, and this Bourbon has a nose of caramel candy, campfire ashes, honey, and vanilla. The taste has a good balance of honey and chocolate with spicy notes of black pepper and clove, along with touches of vanilla and caramel that come out in the background as the spices fade. The finish has lingering spices with a nice sweetness. (June, 2020)
