Type: Canadian

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 45%

Score: 91 Points

20-year-old Canadian whiskies are rare, and this one from Highwood Distillers in Alberta is nicknamed “Decades of Richness.”

The nose is very aromatic with notes of toasted rye, nutmeg, ginger, roasted almonds, linseed oil, turpentine, and a dryness at the back of the nostrils. The taste has a good spiciness with curry powder, almond, and a touch of toasted rye bagel with butter. The finish is short with a hint of linseed oil and turpentine.  (September, 2013)
