Caol Ila 35 (2018 Edition)
Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 58.1%
Score: 93 Points
This single malt from Diageo’s 2018 Special Releases series has a subtle smokiness on the nose, along with a touch of oak tannings and sweeter notes of grilled pineapple and dried flowers. The taste has a soft campfire smokiness, but the pepperiness is strong with this one. The spice fades to reveal touches of grilled fruits, oak tannings, dried flowers, and a hint of smoked salmon. The finish is long and smoky with a touch of oak. (September, 2018)
