Bushmills Red Bush

Country: Ireland

Region:

Type: Irish Whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 40%

Score: 87 Points

Bushmills Red Bush. Image courtesy Bushmills. This Irish Whiskey has subtle spices on the nose, with touches of allspice, ginger, and vanilla balanced by butterscotch, red apples, and a hint of oak. The taste is smooth and well-balanced, with ginger and allspice notes complemented by caramel, roasted cashews, vanilla, and a hint of red apples. The finish is long and smooth with a good balance, and my overall impression is of a mild and smooth entry-level whiskey, but with nothing that stands out enough to make it unique. (January, 2018)
