Bunnahabhain Mòine. Image courtesy Bunnahabhain.Mòine is the term Bunnahabhain uses to describe its peatier whiskies, as opposed to the standard range of Bunnahabhains that are barely peated at best. This no-age-statement Islay single malt has a nose full of toasted vanilla, banana, coconut, brown sugar, and a hint of briny wet sand. The taste starts off with a green apple tartness followed by a peaty smokiness with touches of smoked salmon, burnt leaves, and dark chocolate. The finish is medicinal and smoky with a hint of spices. (March, 2020)
