Bunnahabhain Feis Ile 2018 Spanish Oak Finish
Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 58.2%
Score: 92 Points
This bottling for the 2018 Islay Festival of Malt & Music was distilled in 2002 and matured for 11 years in refill casks, then finished in Gran Reserva Spanish Oak casks. The nose is nutty with hints of oak tannins, dried fruits, and a hint of spice. The taste has soft spices, dark chocolate, hints of raisins and red grapes, figs, and oak tannins. The finish comes alive with baking spices that take over, but don’t overpower the fruity notes underneath. Very nice and complex. (March, 2019)
