Bunnahabhain 2005 Palo Cortado Cask Finish
Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 55.5%
Score: 92 Points
This Islay single malt is finished in Palo Cortado ex-Sherry casks, and the nose is fruity and well-balanced with soft spices, hints of oak, touches of berry cobbler, and raisins. The taste is fruity, with notes of plums, raisins, toffee, fruitcake, hints of prunes and red grapes, and soft spicy notes of clove and white pepper. The finish is long and astringent with touches of dried fruits and a hint of spice. (February, 2019)
