Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 44.2%

Score: 96 Points

As with previous Black Art releases from Bruichladdich, all we know is the year of distillation (1994), while the rest of the provenance remains known only to Head Distiller Adam Hannett. The nose has touches of raspberry jam, citrus, dried flowers, pears, and a touch of mango. The taste is malty with a nice balance of barley sugar, butterscotch, toasted oak, and a hint of coconut. The finish is long and complex with orange peel, honey, and hints of marzipan, toasted oak, and coconut. Outstanding! (September, 2023)
