Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 93 Points

This Bruichladdich single malt includes Sauternes and Port wine casks along with ex-Bourbon barrels in the maturation, and the nose is malty with touches of lemon zest, brine, heather, dried flowers, and honey. The taste is tart and lemony with lemon pepper spice and notes of barley sugar, raisins, figs, and honeycomb. The finish is long with a slightly mineral character and hints of peaches, apricots, and dried flowers. Very nice! (February, 2024)
