Brora 38 2016 Release
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 48.6%
Score: 94 Points
One of the oldest Broras around, this single malt was distilled in 1997 and matured for 38 years before it was bottled for Diageo’s 2016 Special Releases collection. The nose has a good balance of dried fruits, tropical citrus, a touch of oak, and hints of honey and vanilla. The taste has notes of dark fruits, clove spiciness, dark clover honey, and hints of butterscotch and licorice. The finish is long and spicy with clove and allspice, and just a hint of licorice in the background. Wow! (April, 2017)
