Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2020-02 “Boston Batch”
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 63.25%
Score: 93 Points
This batch of Booker’s honors the small Kentucky town of Boston, where Booker Noe did most of his experimental work at what Beam Suntory now calls the Booker Noe Distillery. Like all of the previous Booker’s releases, it’s uncut and unfiltered, and the nose has notes of toasted caramel, honey, vanilla, brown sugar, and charred oak. The taste is spicy and mouth-filling with black pepper, cinnamon, and allspice balanced by hints of honey, brown sugar, and vanilla in the background. The finish is long and spicy with a subtle sweetness for a classic Booker’s experience. (December, 2020)
