Booker's 30th Anniversary Bourbon. Image courtesy Beam Suntory.Booker Noe loved his Bourbon uncut and unfiltered, and this 30th anniversary edition of Booker’s is no exception. Fred and Freddie Noe teamed up to blend nine and 16-year-old Bourbons to create this whiskey, and the nose is oaky but well-balanced with notes of caramel, cocoa, honey, and brown sugar. The taste is spicy, but not overpowering with a good balance of black pepper with honey, caramel, and cocoa that turns dry with a nice dustiness. That character continues through the medium-length finish with a touch of pencil shavings. (December, 2018)
