Lux Row master blender John Rempe blended the 2018 edition of Blood Oath from Bourbons matured for between nine and 12 years, with the nine-year-old finished in toasted Bourbon barrels. The nose has notes of caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla, charred oak, and soft spices. The taste is thick and rich with good black pepper and chili powder spices, along with complementary notes of honey, vanilla, and caramel notes in the background. The finish is long with gently fading spices, caramel, and charred oak. (March, 2018)
