This lightly peated Speyside single malt from Benromach has a nose full of dried fruits, a gentle smokiness, shortbread cookies, and baked apples. The taste has an oily mouthfeel with a nice balance of spice and gentle peatiness, dried fruits, red apples, and ginger. The finish is long and peppery with a gentle kiss of smoke. (October, 2024)
