OK, it’s not a Bourbon, but the ingredients list for this ice cream includes “whiskey,” so that makes it fair game. The nose is cold with touches of caramel, honey, and almonds. The taste is thick, creamy, and crunchy with chunks of chocolate, caramel, honey, vanilla, and touches of almonds and butterscotch. The finish is sweet and slightly nutty with caramel, almond, and a hint of rum. Good, but there’s more rum flavor to this than there is whiskey. (April 1, 2017)
