Bardstown Bourbon Company collaborated with California’s Phifer Pavitt winery to take 9-year-old Tennessee Bourbon from an undisclosed distillery and finish it in Phifer Pavitt’s Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. The nose has notes of fresh berries, dark fruits, soft spices, and a nice hint of cocoa powder. The taste is vibrant with berries, dark fruits, and a hint of red grapes complemented nicely by baking spices and oak tannins. The finish is long and fruity with hints of spice. (April, 2019)
