Ballyhoo Irish Whiskey
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Irish Whiskey
Bottler: Connacht Whiskey Company
ABV: 43%
Score: 91 Points
This is a 4-year-old grain whiskey finished in Port wine casks and bottled by the Connacht Whiskey Company. The nose has notes of brown sugar, buttered popcorn, soft spices, and toasted caramel. The taste has a good buildup of spices after a soft start with touches of honey and brown sugar. Clove, allspice, and hints of pepper provide a nice balance to the sweeter notes underneath. The finish lingers nicely with hints of brown sugar and honey. (November, 2018)
